PREPARING REMOTE CONTROL The remote control and batteries are individually packed Before you start to use the remote control put batteries into the remote control as the following steps:
1 Take the remote control and two AAA batteries. 2 Remove the battery cover of the remote control insert batteries as shown on the illustration and then put the cover back Now the remote control is ready for use The effective distance is about 5 to 10 metres.

Note: When operating the set please point the remote control directly at the DVD recorder instead of the TV set.

CONNECTING TO AN AMPLIFIER WITH DOLBY PRO LOGIC DECODER You can enjoy the Dolby Surround audio effect by connecting the recorder to an amplifier and speakers system with Dolby Pro Logic decoder.

CONNECTING TO AN AMPLIFIER WITH DOLBY DIGITAL DECODER OR DTS DECODER You can enjoy the completely reproduced 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio or Digital Theatre Systems audio effect by connecting the recorder to an amplifier and speakers system with Dolby Digital decoder or DTS decoder via coaxial or optical digital cables.
