Turn the relevant knob to one of the positions included between 0 and 6 (maximum position).

An indicator light on the control panel illuminates when the hotplates are switched on

To switch the hotplate off turn the knob to position

0.Important: Never use the hotplates without pans.

For cooking use thick-based flat pans which are specially designed for electric hobs and have a diameter at least equal to that of the hotplate Never use utensils with a concave or rounded base.

STATIC FUNCTION

Use when all the food is on the same runner level. •

Preheat the oven to the required cooking temperature and place the food inside as soon as the red thermostat indicator light switches off

Ideally the shelf should be on the second runner level when using the static function.

BOTTOM HEATING FUNCTION

Use this function. •

To finish baking fruitcakes or cheesecakes

To thicken sauces

Use the bottom heating function for the last 10 or 15 minutes of cooking time.

UPPER HEATING FUNCTION

Use this function

To brown top surface of foods

Use the top heating function for the last 10 or 15 minutes of cooking time.

GRILL FUNCTION

Use the grill function to cook small pieces of meat

(steaks sausages) and for making toasts.

The oven door must be closed during the grilling cycle.

Thermostat should be set at maximum.

Preheat the grill for about 5 minutes.

Arrange the meat on the wire shelf with the drip tray underneath Pour water in the drip tray to cover the bottom thus reducing smoke and fat spatters.

Turn over the food about half-way through cooking time.

N.B.: When grilling position the wire shelf as shown in figure.
