Never vacuum liquids or carry out spray extraction without the soiled-water tank.

Your THOMAS TWIN is not suitable for extracting large quantities of liquids from tanks or basins.

Prior to wet-cleaning carpets ț

Before wet-cleaning carpets the entire area to be cleaned is to be thoroughly vacuumed.

Do not wet-clean delicate hand-woven or noncolourfast carpets.

For test purposes apply a little detergent solution to a white cloth and rub a concealed area of the carpet with this cloth If there are no traces of colour on the cloth it may be assumed that the carpet is colourfast Should colour rub off onto the cloth the carpet must not be wet-cleaned.

Should you be unsure consult a carpet dealer.

If the carpet has been shampooed at an earlier juncture this may result in considerable foaming in the soiled-water tank when the THOMAS TWIN is used for the first time To prevent further foaming pour 1 a cup of vinegar into the soiled-water container.

Should foam emerge from the air outlet switch the appliance off immediately and empty the soiled-water tank.

Strong foaming is no longer possible after cleaning once with THOMAS ProTex cleaning concentrate as this agent contains a special foam inhibitor.

Do not walk on the carpet as long as it remains damp.

The room should be well ventilated during and after cleaning to enable swift drying.

Caution!

Never run the pump without liquid.

Please also observe the "Important information" in Section 1 2

5.2 Set-up wash-vacuuming

General proparation

H Open the casing cover (1) by lifting the cover release (4).

Put together the 2-part anti-slosh insert (22)

Lift the AQUA filter (42) out of the dirty-water container (24) by its handle and insert the anti-slosh insert (22).

Remove the HEPA filter (20) from the appliance.

Insert the anti-slosh insert (22) and dirty-water container (24) into the appliance Ensure that the wet filter (23) and the motor protection filter (21 illus I) are in place.

Fold the carrying strap away to the side so that it does not cover the casing seal.

Ensure that the float (59) in the dirty-water container (24) is kept clean and in good condition It automatically interrupts the suction when the dirty-water container is full.

Remove the fresh water tank for filling (draw tank straight upwards and out of the cleaner or fill up directly in the appliance In this case you have to lift up fresh water tank cover.

When filling make sure that no impurities get into the fresh water tankto prevent the dosing valve from not functioning properly.

Fill up with cleaning concentrate and water to the grip lug (max. 2,4 litres).

We recommend the THOMAS ProTex original concentrated cleaning agent for cleaning carpets.

See label on the cleaning concentrate bottle for application and dosage.

Use hand warm water (max 30°C).

Close the flap (5) and replace the fresh-water tank (6).

Slide the cut-out valve (25) into position on the suction pipe (34). Secure the cleaning agent hose (26) on the suction hose (28) using 4 plastic fasteners (33).

Press the detergent hose (26) firmly into the quick-release coupling (8) until it snaps into place.

To release press the button on the quick-action coupling (8).

Take the suitable nozzle and assemble it according to the illutration

Put the detergent hose (32) with the quick-release coupling (64) on the shut-off valve (25) and rotate until it is locked Afterwards the detergent hose (32) fasten the detergent hose to the suction tubes (34) using the 2 smaller plastic clips (40).

K Pull the mains plug (63) out of the appliance and connect it.

Window cleaning

Push the window nozzle adapter on the carpet spray nozzle With this system you can clean and dry your window and glass surfaces at the same time See procedure as for carpet cleaning.
