Operating Your Air Purifier 1 For best air circulation make sure that the Air Purifier is at least 6inch away from wall or any large objects Place the unit on a desk table or shelf.
2 Before connecting the unit make sure that the Collection Grid is inserted properly Just pull out the Grid and reinsert it The Collection Grid can be inserted one way only Follow the grooves on the top of the unit Slide the Collection Grid in until you hear a click.
3 Plug in the unit. 4 Press down the button and the unit will create negative ions that pull in polluted air trap contaminants and release clean healthy air The additional Fan increases air circulation therefore making the Purifier more effective.

CLEANING Cleaning the Collection Grid Clean the grid every one or two weeks. 1 Before cleaning,unplug the unit. 2 To remove the collection grid,pull it from the right side of the unit.
3 To quickly wipe the dust from each of the three collection bars,use a dry or slightly damp towel or sponge.
Germicidal Lamp Replacement Lamps are effective for 6000 hours,or about 8 months of continuous use.Replace earlier if there is no “blue glow”inside the housing,when the unit is running in UV mode Oil from fingers will reduce the germicidal performance of the UV lamp.DO NOT allow fingers to come in contact with the glass.Use gloves or handle only by the metal area of the lamp.If you touch the lamp or need to clean it for any reason,wipe with a paper towel dampened with alcohol or any ammonia-based cleaner 1 To unlock the back cover slide the LOCKING TAB open.Remove the back cover by lifting it up and sliding it up and out.
2 Turn the lamp 1/4 turn and slide it from its fixture.Replace with a new lamp of the same type.
Replacement lamps are available directly from The Sharper Image.Consult your local regulations for the proper disposal method of used fluorescent lamps.
The unit will not function while the collection grid is removed and/or the germicidal lamp cover is removed.
