• Sanding

- the amount of material removed is determined by the

speed of the sanding disc

- the speed of the sanding disc diminishes relative to

the pressure applied to the tool

• Auxiliary handle

- loosen nut J almost completely

- push down handle H into desired position

- tighten nut rmly

APPLICATION ADVICE

• For determining the right grit table 7 can be used as reference

! always test out first on a piece of scrap material

• Remove dust skirt D for sanding hard-to-reach places 8

MAINTENANCE / SERVICE

• This tool is not intended for professional use

• Always keep tool and cord clean (especially ventilation

slots K 2)

- remove adhering sanding dust with a brush

! disconnect the plug before cleaning

• If the tool should fail despite the care taken in manufacturing

and testing procedures, repair should be carried out by an

after-sales service centre for SKIL power tools

- send the tool undismantled together with proof of

purchase to your dealer or the nearest SKIL service

station (addresses as well as the service diagram of

the tool are listed on www.skileurope.com)

NOISE/VIBRATION

• Measured in accordance with EN 60745 the sound

pressure level of this tool is 81 dB(A) and the sound power

level 92 dB(A) (standard deviation: 3 dB), and the vibration

3.1 m/s² (hand-arm method; uncertainty K = 1.5 m/s²)

• The vibration emission level has been measured in

accordance with a standardised test given in EN 60745; it

may be used to compare one tool with another and as a

preliminary assessment of exposure to vibration when

using the tool for the applications mentioned

- using the tool for dierent applications, or with dierent

or poorly maintainted accessories, may signicantly

increase the exposure level

- the times when the tool is switched o or when it is
