This appliance is designed for heating water only Never put any other liquid into the kettle v

When using the appliance always pay attention to the water level marking on the outside of the kettle

Do not let the water level drop below the minimum level and do not exceed the maximum level v

Always place the appliance on a firm and level surface v

If electric kettle is not water please do not open “0/1” switch v

If the supply cord is damaged is must be replaced by the manufacturer its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard v

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety v

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance v

The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.

Warning: If the kettle is overfilled boiling water may be ejected v

OPERATION GUIDELINES

When kettle is switched off you can admire tender dark-blue color with the start of kettle the illumination of the casting a spell rosy-red color lights up.

Before using for the first time v

Prior to initial use clean it by going through several boiling cycles using clean water with each cycle and filling the kettle to its upper marking

The water will reach boiling point after approximately 5 minutes when the unit switches off automatically.

Operation v

Place the heating base on a firm and level surface.

Pour the desired amount of clean water into the kettle Do not touch any part of the kettle except the handle when the appliance is in use and ensure that the lid is properly closed

The amount of water can be measured by the level mark on the outside of the kettle Always pay attention to the minimum and maximum levels and ensure that the lid is properly and firmly closed.

Position the kettle in such a way on the base that the underside of the kettle fits precisely into the contact unit on the base.

Insert the plug into a wall socket.

Put the 0/1 switch to its 1 position to start the heating process The indicator lamp will light up.

As soon as the water reaches boiling point the 0/1 switch return automatically to the‘0’ position The indicator lamp will go out The water kettle can also be switched off manually by putting the 0/1 switch to the ‘0’position.

The hot water may now be poured safely through the spout into another container.

Safety cut-out v

This kettle is equipped with a safety cut-out to protect the appliance from damage in case of inappropriate use

Should the appliance be accidentally operated without water or if all the water has evaporated the safety cut-out will automatically switch off the heating element.

In such a case remove the plug from the wall socket immediately and refill the kettle only after an adequate cooling down period about 15-20 seconds.

Decalcifying v

Should the appliance switch off before reaching boiling point this is a sign that decalcifying is necessary.

Any regular descaling agent may be used provided the relevant instructions are observed Do not fill the kettle to the upper mark to avoid spillage if the descaling agent causes the water to foam.

To clean the kettle thoroughly of any decalcification residues let it go through several boiling cycles using clean water with each cycle Rinse the 5

kettle with clean water afterwards.

CLEANING AND CARE

Before cleaning the appliance ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.

Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.

Do not immerse the base or the kettle in any liquid to clean the exterior a slightly damp lint-free cloth may be used.

It is advisable to remove lime deposits form the kettle at regular intervals.
