Using the Laser Detector
Press the On/Off button. The power indicator will light up.
Select the approximate distance from the laser level with the distance
button. The green light indicates "near" (less than 50'/15m). The red light
indicates "far" (more than 30'/10m).
Select the mute or sound mode by pressing the Mute button. One short
sound indicates that you are in mute mode. Two short sounds indicate
that the sound is on.
To detect a horizontal beam, hold the detector so that the horizontal vial
is centered. To detect a vertical beam, hold the detector so that the plumb
vial is centered.
Turn the detection window towards the laser beam and move the detector
up and down following the direction of the indicator arrow on the left of
the LCD.
Lower the Laser Detector if the arrow pointing down is lit (yellow
indicator light/slow beeps).
Raise the Laser Detector if the arrow pointing up is lit (red
indicator light/slow beeps).
The beeps will speed up as the detector approaches level with
the laser beam.
When the Laser Detector is level with the laser beam, both arrows will
light up green (rapid beeps).
