PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Laser distance meter CONDTROL XS is designed as for outdoor as for
indoor measuring. It provides an extended range of functions, such
as addition and subtraction, area and volume calculation, Pythagoras
measuring and distance tracking.

Inserting/Replacing battery
Insert the battery, observing correct polarity. Use
only alkaline batteries, both batteries must be the
same brand and with the same level of charge.
The battery charge level displays on the screen.
Switch on / off
To switch on the device press button .
To switch off the device press and hold button .
In 2,5 minutes after the last press on any button to save the battery the
device switch off automatically.
Unit Setting
In Order to change measuring units press and hold .
Changing the reference point
The device reference point by default is rear. To change the reference point
press and hold button .
MEASURING
Single distance measuring mode
Turn on the laser beam with short press on button , to measure
press this button again.
Continuous distance measuring mode (Tracking)
In order to turn on the continuous measuring mode press and hold
button . At this point device makes continuous measurement and
displays one by one the last measurement result.
CALCULATIONS
Addition / subtraction
Measure the distance with shor t press on but ton , choose the addition
or subtraction function and make the second distance measurement. The
result will be displayed in the main line.
Area
With short press on button choose the area calculating mode. The
symbol will appear in the display. With the press on the button 1
make two distance measurement (width and length). The measuring result
(as the product of length and width) displayed in the main string.
Volume
With short press on button choose volume calculation mode. The
symbol appears in the display. By short press on button one
by one make three single distance measurement (width, length, height).
The calculated result appears (as the product of width, length and height)
in the main line.
Pythagoras
For the cases with hard to reach spots (for example when the laser beam
can’t reach the target because of preventing object) there are Pythagoras
mode that allows you with the help of two additional measurements
calculate the target length.
With the short presses on button chose Pythagorean Theorem mode.
The symbol appears in the display. Measure distance A and distance
B. The distance C will be calculated according to Pythagorean Theorem and
appear in the main line. Ensure that length B should be perpendicular to the
length C and can’t be shorter than length A.
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Attention! The device is high precision instrument and requires careful
handling. Maintenance of the following guidelines extends the device
service life:
- Do not point the device to the sun.
- Keep the device protected from any bumps, shake and dampness; do
not allow getting moisture, dust or other dirt inside of device
- In case if any moisture goes into device, remove the power supply from
the device and contact with service center.
- Do not keep or use the device for a long time at high humidity
conditions.
- Keep the optic of the instrument clean and protected from mechanic
damages.
- Clean the device with soft moist rag.
Mishandling of the following rules can be cause of leaked fluid from the
power supply or other damages:
- If you do not use the device for a long time remove the battery from
the device.
- Do not use different power supply types with different charge levels.
- Do not leave the discharged power supply in the device.
** Measuring accuracy can be degraded due to unfavorable conditions,
such as intense sunshine, or if the measurement’s object has glassy,
transparent or rough surface, if the measuring object is moving or there is
a laser beam rereflection.

SAFE REGULATIONS
This user’s manual is an inalienable part of the device. Carefully read
the User Manual before using the product. Provide the manual to any
temporary user.
- Using the device for other purposes can be dangerous to your life.
- Do not remove any sticker from the devise as it contains the safe
regulation information.
- Do not carry out modification or conversion of the product
- According to IEC60825-1 the device belong to laser class II product.
- Do not stare into the laser beam or its reflection with unprotected eyes
or with optical instruments.
- Do not direct the laser beam at persons or animals.
- Avoid as intentional as random laser blinding, especially at night.
- Protect eyes by looking away or closing eyes.
- Periodically make the control measurement, especially if the device
subjected with excessive mechanical or other influences.

SYSTEM CODES
In the course of using the device the following messages can be displayed
on the screen:

WARRANTY
The warranty is 24 months from the date of sale. The warranty covers
all expenses on repair or a replacement of the instrument. The warranty
does not cover the transport expenses connected with the return of the
instrument for repair.
The warranty does not extend on damages from blows or falls, misuse,
unauthorized repair, and also on batteries and accessories.
The warranty does not extend on cases if the device loses its accuracy
while operations due to any reasons except the production defect.
We do not bear responsibility for the loss of profits and inconvenience
connected with a defect of the instrument or expenses on the alternative
equipment lease for the instrument repair
Service life of the device is 36 months.
UTILIZATION
Instruments, accessories and packaging should be sorted for
environmental friendly recycling according to the laws of your country.
Do not dispose of battery packs/batteries into household waste; do not
throw it into fire or water. Battery packs/batteries should be collected and
turn to recuperation or environmentally correct disposal.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of instruments into household waste!
According to the European Guideline 2002/96/EC for Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment and its implementation into national right,
instruments that are no longer usable must be collected separately and
disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
Defective or dead out battery packs/batteries must be recycled according
to the guideline 91/157/EEC.
