3.3 Getting started

3.3.1 Turning the power on / off

•

Press the [ ] button until the digital camera turns on.

• To turn the power off, press the [ ] button again.

3.3.2 Choosing the screen language

When the camera is turned on for the first time, a language-selection screen will be displayed

on the LCD monitor. Follow the steps below to choose the desired language.

1. Rotate the mode dial to [SET] mode, and then press the [ ] button to turn on your

camera.

2. Press [ ] or [ ] to scroll to [Language] menu.

3.Press [] or [] to select the desired language.

4. Press the OK button to confirm.

3.3.3 Setting the date and time

Follow the steps below to set the current date and time.

1. Rotate the mode dial to [SET] mode, and then press the [ ] button to turn on your

camera.

2. Press [ ] or [ ] to scroll to [Date/Time] menu.

3. Press [ ] or [ ] to move to Year, Month, Day and Time fields.

• Move to the field that you would like to change, and then press the OK button.

• To increase a value of a field, press [ ].

• To decrease a value, press [ ].

• The time is displayed in 24 hour format.

4. Press the OK button after all fields are set.

• If you would like to change the date display style, press [ ] or [ ] to scroll to [Date

Format] menu in Setup Mode, and then select your preferred setting.
