BATTERY FITTING
Your translator is powered by two AAA batteries in the main power supply, and one CR2032
lithium battery in the databank memory. When the power level of the batteries is low, the sound
becomes weak and hoarse, the display is dim. If happens, replace 2xAAA alkaline battery
immediately. The actual service life depends on the batteries you use, we recommend:
Keep the 2 pcs AAA batteries always in the machine otherwise the backup battery for
databank will consume very soon.
Replace the 2 pcs AAA batteries supplied with the unit not longer than 3 months of
purchasing.
Be sure that the positive and negative poles of each battery are facing in the proper
direction.
Never mix batteries of different types.
Never mix old batteries and new ones.
Never leave dead batteries in the battery compartment.
Replacing the main battery:
Before replacing the main battery, do not remove the memory backup battery from the
Translator while main batteries are removed.
a) Turn off the machine.
b) Slide off the battery door according the direction
of the arrow indicated. The battery door is linkage with
translator case.
c) Remove the old batteries and replace 2 PCS AAA
batteries (1.5 V, SUM-4, R3) in the correct polarity cor-
responding to the symbol indicated inside the battery
compartment.
d) Make sure that the batteries make a good contact
with the metal plates.
e) Cover the battery door.
f) Slide off the isolation tape of back-up battery.
Replacing the databank memory backup battery:
Before replacing the memory backup battery, do not remove the 2 pcs AAA batteries
from the Translator while memory backup battery is removed. With this way the memory
in your databank will not be lost during the battery replacement. Be sure to replace the
memory backup battery at least once a year.
1. Turn off the machine.
2. Unscrew the battery cover and replace it with a new one. Wipe the surface of the battery
with a soft, dry cloth. Make sure that the positive(+) side of the battery are facing up.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover and fasten it with screw.

1. Для входу в режим Місцевого часу натисніть один
раз кнопку [DATE/TIME]. При цьому на дисплеї з’явиться
зображення «
».
2. Для входу в режим Світового часу натисніть ще один
раз кнопку [DATE/TIME]. При цьому в лівому нижньому
куті дисплея з’явиться символ «
». В режимі Світо-
вого часу можливо довідатися дату і час в будь-якому
з 200 найбільших міст світу. Назви міст даються тільки
англійською мовою. При вході в цей режим на дисплей
виводиться те місто, яке переглядалося останнім протя-
гом останнього входу до режиму.
Знайдіть потрібне місто за допомогою кнопок [ ]
та
[ ]. Для спрощення процедури пошуку натисніть
кнопку з першою літерою назви міста, а потім продов-
жуйте пошук. Наприклад, коли Ви шукаєте Лондон
(LONDON), натисніть кнопку [L], а потім натискайте кнопку
[ ] до того, поки не з’явиться назва потрібного міста.
