Maintenance

- Avoid sudden impact of the unit

- Use ONLY the power adapter and NiMH AA batteries supplied by ARCHOS

- Use ONLY the power adapter to recharge your Jukebox, not others

- You can connect the Jukebox to your computer at any time either before or after boot-up.

Make sure the USB cable is connected to Jukebox first, turn on Jukebox, then connect the

USB cable to your computer USB port. Reverse the order for disconnecting.

- For proper operation of the Jukebox, the unit has to be inserted upside down in its pouch.

Update of the Firmware (Internal Software Jukebox)

1. Start the installation program and follow the instructions on screen

2. Download the update from the web site : www.archos.com

3. Make sure that the Jukebox is connected to the PC and is under power

4. Double-click on the file

5. The update interface is screened

6. Click « OK »

7. Wait until the message « Updated » is screened

8. Validate and close the window

9. Click on the peripheral icon of the system bar and follow the instructions

10. Disconnect the USB cable from the Jukebox

11. Put the Jukebox off power

12. Re-start - your equipment is updated

13. By caution, check the version appearing on screen

If you use Windows 2000

1. Download the update from the web site : www.archos.com

2. Make sure that the Jukebox is connected to the PC and is powered

3. Re-name the downloaded file « ARCHOS.mod »

4. Drag the file « ARCHOS.mod » on the root of the Jukebox

5. Click on the peripheral icon on the tools bar and follow the instructions

6. Disconnect the USB cable from the Jukebox

7. Put the Jukebox off power

8. Re-start – your equipment is updated

9. By caution, check the version appearing on screen
